Lecture
– Sustainability and global development
How is it possible to resolve the paradox of modern society
– develop in a sustainable manner. Energy consumption
is expected to rise 60% by 2030 if current development trends
continue. Eighty percent of this energy will continue to come
from fossil fuels. How is it possible to use more energy without
compromising the health of the planet?

Panel Biodigestors
and Biodiesel – Use of Organic Material in the Generation
of Energy
Biodigestors can be a source of thermal or electric energy,
used to substitute fossil fuels or wood, having as an advantage
that they are a renewable energy source. In addition to environmental
factors, reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, production of
biogas can add value to production, making it economically self-sustainable.
Biodiesel can be considered a complement to a sustainable energy
matrix seeking the generation of new business, broadening the
market for and development of new technologies.
